Solid Ground Welcomes

New Executive Director 

Jolyne Baarck joined the Solid Ground team in December. She brings with her than a decade of experience serving the homelss population. She is a licensed masters social worker who has served as Program Director for Family Youth Interventions in Mt. Clemens since 2001. There she oversees three facilities: a 30-day shelter for people age 10-17; an 18-month transitional shelter for those age 16-20; and a drop-in center for people age 16-24.                                      

She has vast grant writing and fundraising experience.

In cooperation with other agencies, faith based organizations, and individuals, Solid Ground addresses the problem of homelessness in Macomb County with an emphasis on families with children, the elderly and disabled individuals.

Our goal is to empower our residents so that they can achieve independence. We will do that by providing safe, transitional housing, and offering programs and services designed to address their physical, financial, emotional, social, and spiritual needs for up to 18 months.
